This site is my little corner of the internet dedicated to the hidden histories, forgotten stories, overlooked people, and fascinating details that don’t always get the attention they deserve.

You know those moments when you’re reading about a historical event and suddenly think, “Wait…why have I NEVER heard this before?” That’s exactly the kind of history I want to explore.

I’ll dig into stories buried in footnotes, overshadowed by more famous figures, simplified over time, or simply not talked about enough. And because I believe history should be fun as well as informative, expect the occasional detour into the wonderfully weird.

Outside of academia, I’m a fan of true crime, reality TV, and sports. In other words, I can go from discussing an ancient civilization to analyzing a reality-TV reunion with absolutely no transition whatsoever.

So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and come down the historical rabbit hole with me. There’s a lot more to the past than what we were taught, and I intend to find it.
